How to fix Home Mortgage Interest Limited Smart Worksheet online version TT. TT glitched this morning and now our refund dropped dramatically. How can I fix this?

It seems the online version does not take you to the forms. I used to see the entire worksheet and could edit it. But, now that does not seem to work for 2022 taxes. I need to fix our Home Mortgage Interest Limited Smart Worksheet and get our credits.

You can only edit forms in the desktop version. However, you can change your entries in the mortgage section online. As long as your final sch A has the correct amount, the entries you make are not important. The program is set to keep you from going over the allowed limits. Use  Table 1 Worksheet to Figure Your Deductible Mortgage Interest and just enter the correct amount without the high mortgage amount. The mortgage amount is what creates the limits. Keep a good record of how you arrived at your answer, in case you are ever asked.

Unfortunately, I was ready to file my taxes yesterday. I have spoken to two "experts" and also another behind-the-scenes person who viewed my file while online. I am not going to switch from the online version to a CD or download version. I have always been able to edit the forms and this year it has been removed. There are NO offerings of true help and this is obviously a glitch in TurboTax. Searching these forums and Google brings up the same issues every February dating back to 2019! I would have preferred a real solution. Using the online version is the closest thing to being in the TurboTax office. Why offer cloud-based services when full services are not existent?
