That deduction is not in effect for 2025----that will go into effect for 2026 that you file next year. For 2025, a charity donation goes on Schedule A with any of your other itemized deductions. If you do not have enough itemized deductions to exceed your 2025 standard deduction the $1000 donation has no effect.
