After your nonresident being treated as a resident, on your joint return, you are required to report worldwide income. To enter a non-W-2 foreign income you earned overseas, in TurboTax Premier online edition, please follow these steps:

1. After sign into your account, select Take me to my return

2.  At the right upper corner, in the search box , type in foreign income and Enter

3.  Select Jump to foreign income

4.  Next screen, Did You Make Any Money Outside the United States? answer Yes

5.   On screen, What Form(s) Was Foreign Income Reported On ?check the third box and continue to enter your                          information

Please also note that If you lived outside United States for at least 330 days during 12 consecutive months, you might be able to exclude your foreign income from your taxes.  Follow the instructions from above, the program will take you through the process by asking you questions about your foreign income and stay.  For more information, see  Foreign income and exclusion and Extension.  The maximum foreign earned income exclusion for 2016 amount is $101,300.

What does this mean From IRS Site: "Generally, neither you nor your spouse can claim tax treaty benefits as a resident of a foreign country for a tax year for which the choice is in effect. However, the exception to the saving clause of a particular tax treaty might allow a resident alien to claim a tax treaty benefit on certain specified income."
