Form 8800 Line 1

I am REALLY confused.  Turbotax is automatically placing the amount shown on my W2 in box 12 AA onto line 2 of the 8880. That seems correct.

It appears that money I place into a traditional IRA or Roth IRA in addition to that amount (outside accounts I set up somewhere) gets filled in on Line 1 of form 8800. But when I am on the TurboTax page where it says "After tax additional contribution", if I click on "Learn More" a popup box instructs me NOT to enter traditional IRA or Roth IRA amounts in the box. I was assuming these were the amounts that would be placed on Line 1 of form 8880.  So my question is this. If in addition to my contributions to my work retirement shown on the W2, if I do get credit for additional deposits I make on my own to an IRA or Roth IRA where do I enter it in Turbo Tax Desktop 2021?

Form 8800 Line 1

You enter your IRA contributions in the Deductions and Credits section of TurboTax, then Retirement and Investments, then Traditional and Roth IRA contributions. Enter the amount you contributed or that you will contribute for the tax year you are working on. TurboTax will let you know if the amount is not deductible, based on your income and other considerations, so you will have a chance to adjust the amount if necessary.

The IRA contribution listed will appear on line 1 of form 8880 Credit for Qualified Retirement Savings Contributions.
