Do we claim the full taxes on our property before the disability compensation or just the amount we actually paid?

my husband gets a real estate tax deferment from the VA so our taxes are reduced, do we still claim the full amount of taxes on our 1040 or just the amount we paid

For any expense or deduction, you would only claim what you actually paid.
