Any copays are a medical expense that is deductible on your federal tax return.
Health care insurance premiums, including dental and vision insurance premiums, and other medical expenses that you paid with out of pocket funds and were not reimbursed are an eligible medical expense that you can deduct using Schedule A for itemized deductions. However, only your total medical expenses that are greater than 7.5% of your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) can be deducted. Your total itemized deductions reported on Form 1040 Schedule A must be greater than the standard deduction for your filing status to have any tax benefit.

When you're deducting medical expenses, don't forget about deducting transportation expenses as allowed.
Mileage, parking, bus, taxi, train, plane, ambulance, vehicle expenses are some. If I remember correctly, TurboTax is excellent at not letting you forget any medical deductions. Also, see IRS Publication 502 for easy to understand details.

Yes, all taxed income used towards allowed medical, dental and vision expenses can be entered as medical expenses. This includes co-pay, deductibles, transportation, premiums (usually long-term care), and some over the counter items like band-aids and hearing aid batteries. For the full list see here.
In addition, you may itemize on your state return even if you take the standard deduction on your federal return. The program will do the math for Schedule A and only deduct the portion over 7.5% for the federal. See here for more details on federal itemizing.
