Deductions & credits
Yes, all taxed income used towards allowed medical, dental and vision expenses can be entered as medical expenses. This includes co-pay, deductibles, transportation, premiums (usually long-term care), and some over the counter items like band-aids and hearing aid batteries. For the full list see here.
In addition, you may itemize on your state return even if you take the standard deduction on your federal return. The program will do the math for Schedule A and only deduct the portion over 7.5% for the federal. See here for more details on federal itemizing.
