Charitable donations asks for a purchase date , when several different dates , instructions said to put 'various' in box . this comes back as error in federal review

You can put the date of the first purchase. Unless the value of the property donated exceeds $5,000 this date will not be reported to the IRS.

You can put the date of the first purchase. Unless the value of the property donated exceeds $5,000 this date will not be reported to the IRS.
