    As a renter you do not report the rent paid on a federal tax return.  Your state may have this as a deduction and the TurboTax state program will assist you if it available for your state.

    Like "rent paid state tax return eligibility for [state name]" ?

    Only a handful states give a renter's credit or deduction.
