Hi,
I was working on my tax return, and I feel like I accidentally clicked on "start" AMT under "other tax situations." However after researching, I am exempt from it. I still answered the questions and I am indeed exempt from it. My issue is now TurboTax is listing it as a form on my return. I went to delete the form manually, however, it still only gives me the option to "update" AMT since I clicked on it the first time. I am trying to ensure that 1) I do not need to complete the questions and forms and 2) if #1 is true, the forms are not submitted. I do not recall answering the AMT questions last year and do not see any reason my tax return would've prompted me to answer AMT-related questions.
Thank you,

If you are not subject to AMT, then TurboTax should not include it with the forms that are filed with your return even if you did go through that section and answer the AMT questions. There is no harm in having the form included as part of your return because it is most likely there in the background anyway in order to determine whether you are subject to AMT.
