Agricultural Land Conversion Charge

We purchased some former agricultural land in 2021 and in 2023 were charge a conversion fee as we will eventually build a home there. My question is, is the conversion charge tax deductible?

Agricultural Land Conversion Charge

It would not be deductible on the federal level but possibly on the state level depending on the state where you live.
