2018 vs 2019 dependents

As I am completing my 2019 taxes- it pulls up a review and summary which compares 2018 and 2019 taxes.  Everything is very similar or close in: Married Filed Jointly, total income, taxes withheld, fed deductions, fed credits....  HOWEVER, IT IS SHOWING 0 DEPENDENTS LAST YEAR AND 4 THIS YEAR...  WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN 4 LAST YEAR TOO.....  Is this going to require an amendment to last year?  Please advise...

you'll need to compare the 2018 return with the 2019 return to see what happened.   not sure exactly where you are looking because the number of dependents doesn't appear on the return.

I have completed 2019 and I was on the REVIEW page...  everything checked out...  showed the $$ difference from last year to this year- clicking on the drop down shows the comparison- that is where the discrepancy is...

@saugherton  - any luck? same issue here /-went back to amend 2018 in turbotax and it’s showing that the kids are entered as dependents, so i’m really hoping it’s just a glitch on the review page (or that i am able to undo some tax liability from 2018 if the system compiled incorrectly last year)
