1099-NEC

I see a lot of responses, but I still have a question.

the 1099-NEC I received, Line 1 total amount listed includes the tips amount received.

I entered this information as is. then the software later asked if I received tip. I answer Yes and enter the amount on this line. Has the tip been entered twice? Should I deduct the $2,500 of tip from line 1 of the 1099-NEC received?  Please clarify. Thank you

See if there’s an amount on line 13b of your 1040. You shouldn’t have to change the amount on your 1099.
