Why did turbotax make changes to Desktop California Schedule E Today?

I completed my 2021 Federal and CA State return yesterday and printed off. Today I opened Turbotax today (8/4/2022) and it updated the CA software (I am running Home and Business DESKTOP).

I got a big surprise as my CA return changed from significant CA refund to now owing CA taxes. What is going on with Turbotax making changes in August? When I look through the CA return it looks like the changes come from updates to differences between Federal and CA depreciation in schedule E for rental properties. Seems odd the changes happen in August.

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS , or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,

AND, to find your AGI next year.

I called turbotax support and the agent was unaware of any updates. There was a significant update of the CA software today (took several minutes to download). Agent said no free support for the DESKTOP version. Seems very poor customer service. So odd that they are making significant changes in August when most people have filed. Anyone else had issues with CA software update on schedule E?
