Your physical location — not your company’s location — determines what state you must file in. Otherwise, everyone who worked for Walmart, which is headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, would be filing an Arkansas return each year.
If you live and work in Wyoming, your employer should not have withheld Georgia income tax. You can file a Georgia nonresident income tax return to claim a refund for Georgia tax withheld. Change your state wages to $0. Your refund should equal your withholding.
Consider filing by mail and attach a note explaining that you live and work in
Wyoming and had Georgia tax taken out by mistake.
