what shoudl i do if my state return looks completely wrong? it sayes IL owes me $1.5M!

my federal return amount looks ok, so it doesn't look like any amounts were entered incorrectly.

Start by double checking the amounts you entered for boxes 16 and 17 from your W-2's and look for misplaced decimals and extra zeros.   If that is not the reason, you have to check every amount you entered to find the error in amounts you entered.  Did you import or "upload" or snap photos of any documents?  Sometimes things go wacko with those and you have to fix them.
