Hi! I am an international student in the US and last year I worked a job on campus which amounted to an overall wage of circa $400. I received at the beginning of this year a W2 form from the IRS, copies B, C, and 2. The spaces for state income tax, local income tax, etc. are completely blank and the only box that is filled out in the forms is just box 14 "Other" which only states "Other 2.00". No one advised me about having to file any taxes and since I don't really understand the process overall as the only information I can find is online and couldn't find anyone to help me interpret the form at school, I didn't file any taxes at that time. Do I need to file a tax to the state for the job given the data on the W2 form? How do I proceed in doing that and how can I interpret the "Other" box? Do I have to report the last year on-campus job income or is it already reported given that I received the W2 form from the employer? Thank you very much in advance for your help, the entire taxation process in the US is very different from my country where all required taxes are withheld by the state directly so I am completely lost when it comes to what steps I must take here and I couldn't find anyone to explain it to me on campus.
Furthermore, I will be doing an internship this summer for which I must fill out a W4 form which again poses some questions to me as I am not familiar with some of the terms in the form. In step 4b where an estimate of 2022 deductions is requested, how do I calculate that amount based on the data in the provided table? Furthermore, is there a way I can request a lower amount of tax withheld from the overall income given that my family's financial hardship back home makes my internship income my only wage for living expenses, meals, etc? Is there also any calculator online that can estimate beforehand based on a predicted hourly wage for the internship, the amount of tax that would be withheld as an international student?
Thank you very much!

If no tax was withheld you don’t have to file a return.
Ignore the amount in box 14.
Only complete step 1 of the W-4. The rest of the form doesn’t apply to you. The correct amount of withholding will be calculated based on your W-4
