I have a retail business in SC set up as a partnership, but Live In NJ . How do I compute or figure out what is the SC proportionate share of the unemployment tax so I can put it in the step by step section (it does not ask the question specifically ) I have to know it and fill it in, (it comes up in the SC state section of the HB ) which will then transfer to the Non Resident (NR) return for SC on LINE 21. There is no information on google, etc. and no where on TT HB to find out this answer or computation. This should populate on its own but doesn't.

A South Carolina partnership will file a separate partnership return and report on SC unemployment tax on that form.
Your share of income, deductions and credits will be reported on a Schedule K-1 issued by the partnership.
You can prepare a partnership return with TurboTax Business. However if you never filed a Form 1065, you may be better having a South Carolina accountant prepare and file your partnership taxes.
I did prepare the partnership using the TT Business CD .
What I am stumped on , is the part , thats needs to be allocated to SC if any , in the section of the TT/HB under the the SC STATE section where there are 2 columns there , the fed is on one side which is prefilled and the right side side for SC which needs to be filled in. The First question on the second page asks for the ( One Half of the Umployment ...) there it shows Federal amount but then asks for the part which is allocated to SC . Thats what I need to know how to get that answer or calculation. Please look that section for SC , its about 4 steps in . Thank you.
All of the unemployment income that was from South Carolina (SC). Unemployment compensation, taxed on your federal return, is taxable to SC if it was paid by South Carolina or received while a resident of South Carolina.
Since your unemployment is paid through a SC business, this means it was paid by SC. All of the unemployment received as a New Jersey (NJ) resident is taxable to SC. Enter the full amount. SC FAQs
NJ would normally give you credit for taxes paid to another state on the same income, however unemployment compensation is not taxable to NJ. In this scenario you pay the tax to SC and there is no credit to receive on NJ because none of the unemployment is taxed. (NJ Tax Exempt (Nontaxable) Income)
