Hey John,
I had the same problem today. I found that you will need to go into Massachusetts Credits and enter the amount under 'Business related non-refundable credits'. When you enter there you can choose the credit from a drop down (solar is one of them). This will then add the credit to line 31. But you will need to download the Schedule EC and Credit Manager Schedule and file my mail.
Also, I just saw a message that TurboTax will have the Credit Manager Schedule on or about February 10th. They will send me an email when it's available. I need to wait and see what this is about. Hopefully then I will only need to manually fill out the Schedule EC.
I hope this helps.
Having same problem with Mass EC form. Hard to believe that Turbotax hasn't figured this out. Great earlier advice on how to work around. Don't like filing paper but I guess it is the only way.
