We have Social Security and not Retirement Railroad Distributions and only reported our 1099 SSN. The Turbo Tax says everything is correct but when I try to transmit the returns turbotax asks for more info on this.

Make sure you selected a SSA-1099 and Not a RRB-1099 in the section for SS income.
To enter Social Security benefits reported on form SSA-1099
Additionally, I entered an RRB-1099 for a test and continued through the GA state program. There is no such notice about Retirement Railroad Benefits on the Georgia Schedule 1.
Is your software at the latest release? Click on Help, click on About TurboTax, click on Version. It should read 020.000.1654
If not, click on Online and then Check for Updates
If your software is updated then delete the Georgia return and then go back through your federal entries and complete the GA return again.
Click on the File menu at the top left of the desktop program screen. Click on Remove State Return
I guess it depends on the version you are using. I updated the software this evening - which it reminded me to, before it would let me file - should have said I would wait. I got the same error regarding the RRB, even though I only get SSA. I followed your recommendation, and deleted the Georgia state return, after checking to be sure I hadn't accidently clicked on the RRB button, back in the income section. I hadn't.
Guess what - it still doesn't work. I think the glitch is new, or maybe came back, because I just finished my taxes this evening, using the Premier version installed from a CD, and updated whenever I get into the program. I have to use at least the Premier level as I have investments that I must track for tax purposes.
After checking everything, I still have the error message, and cannot file my taxes. This is seriously upsetting, as I have never been finished this early, and wanted to be done with it. I don't understand why they couldn't have just flagged it with the message, which is what it sounds like they meant to do. Instead, those of us who only have SSA are blocked from filing.
To clarify, this is a known issue. Please click here for more information.
