The process for PA state return said that the state wants the 1099-R form. My return was accepted by the state. Am I required to mail this 1099-R into the state somehow?
Seems like the process said that it would get back to how to submit this 1099-R to the state of PA, but it never did. The state accepted the efile submission without the 1099-R. Just need to know if they need a paper copy.

No, if you e-filed your tax return you are not required to mail the Form 1099-R to the state, you do however want to keep the form in your records.

Thank you for the prompt answer. Just a suggestion for the future. This could be made clearer during the form-filling process.

I agree and found it equally confusing during my preparation/filing process with TT
