What state?  Could be like California SDI or VDI.  State Disability Insurance.  Those are deductible.

California.  Would the SDI or VDI amount be stated on my W-2?  Or is it a set amount?

Yes.  It should be in box 14 or sometimes they put it in box 19.
California SDI is 1% of wages up to 114,967.  So the max is $1,149.67 for 2018.
