Do not worry. The IRS and your state are two separate tax agencies, thus process returns and refunds differently. If your federal return was accepted then you should receive your refund from that. You can check that status by clicking here: https://www.irs.gov/refunds

You need to fix your state return and refile it so your state receives it and processes your return. Click here to read about how to fix your rejected return: https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/how-do-i-fix-a-rejected-return/00/26136

Tax Year Prior to 2020: Refund

The same thing is happening to me.  Federal filed a few days ago, but state (MI) couldn't be filed until 02/06/2020 due to a Heating Credit 1040-CR7 that I don't qualify for, nor do I want the $82 dollars it says I qualify for.  I can't wait 6 weeks for my State refund by being forced to filing by mail, because of this stupid credit I don't even want.  I've been filing electronically for 13 years in Michigan with my Tax guy, and the first year i try and do it myself...the state is going to make me wait 6 weeks for my refund.  I will say that when I called the Turbo Tax hotline, Joe the tax specialist was as helpful as he could be, and neither one of us could figure out a solution for me to E-file.

Did you try deleting Form MI 1040CR-7?

From the left menu>Tax Tools>Tools>Delete a form and follow the prompts.
