My School District (2903) taxes at 0.5%. In past years, I have eFiled Ohio without an issue. This year, when I am on the "Check This Entry" page, I am getting an error message stating that the "School District Number must not be the same as another school district return being filed. For school district filing, you may file only one School District Return per School District Number." I'm not sure what to do. It's the only school district that I have cited, so I don't know why it won't let me continue with eFiling.

You may be getting this error message if you have two SD-100 forms in your Ohio state return. If so, you must delete one of them so they are not duplicated. This may have happened if you rolled over your return from the previous year and then added another SD-100 on the page titled A few things before we wrap up your state taxes.
To remove a school district tax return, please follow these steps:
If you do not see two SD-100 forms, then please comment below so we can assist you further.
This is what is happening, however the system is broken. When I delete the duplicate, it keeps making me create a new duplicate when I try to file. It's not recognizing that one is there and letting me skip doing an SD 100. It doesn't seem to let me delete both either. I can only delete one and then it makes me create a new one. This is very poor on Turbo Tax's part. I don't even understand how a duplicate happened in the first place.
I found a solution. I had to go all the way back to the State Review and go to the School Taxes section. The school section does not have a way to delete a duplicate (like the forms area does), but I was able to mark the duplicate as "I don't want this included in my return" so that only one of the two would end up in the final return.
I definitely recommend that Turbo Tax find a solution to this that does not require users to have to stumble around. Again, I'm not sure why a second form even got generated which also needs looked into.
I had this problem too. I could not E-file and I just kept going around in circles. Turbo tax needs to fix this for Ohio returns. I went back into state taxes to the school district form and put in my school district. There is a box on the form that says suppress this form or something like that. I checked it, went through everything and Turbo tax allowed me to file. Hope this helps as this glitch is very frustrating.
Thank you for this response. After looking at the same response.....many different places....... from a person listed as an expert, this is the response that let me get my state taxes filed.
