When trying to file my state tax return (TN) I get to where the software is downloaded and then it gets into a loop. I continue to go back to where I select the state (which is already selected because it's the same as last year) and it downloads again. I file only one state return and I don't know if I've paid for it or not, but it says it's taking me to where I pay for the state filing but then goes back to download the state.

TN has no state income tax so you do not have to file anything for TN.
TENNESSEE TN does not have a personal income tax.

The answer, while correct as far as it went, was not complete. Individuals who are not business owners do not pay tax on interest and dividends in Tennessee. That does not explain why TurboTax got into a loop instead of letting me know that I didn't need to file a Tennessee state tax return.
Please follow the instructions here to update the software, as this issue has been resolved in an update.
Please let us know if you are still having the same issue after updating. @dmabrey1938
