To be eligible for the Maryland Senior Tax Credit in 2024, you generally need to:
- be at least 65 years old
- have federal adjusted gross income of $100,000 or less ($150,000 for married filing jointly, head of household, or qualifying widow filing status)
If you feel you meet these requirements, we can look at your return and see exactly what you see to help come to a resolution. The return will be scrubbed and won't include any of your personal details.
If you're using TurboTax Online:
Once you're logged in to your account,
- on the left hand panel, click on Tax Tools and then choose Tools
- on the pop up window, select Share my file with Agent
- you'll see a message saying you'll give us a copy of your tax return. Your personal information will be changed so we can't see any private information.
- click okay and you'll get another message with a token
If you're using TurboTax Desktop:
Please reply to this message with your token so that we can further assist you. Let us know all other states, if any, that are included on the return.
Token #9130357953682586-49801649
Need Elderly Tax credit to show up.
Thank you for sharing your token. The credit is a nonrefundable credit, which means that you have to have a tax liability to claim it. Right now, your taxable income is zero and so is your tax liability. Therefore, you won't qualify for the credit.
Please check again. I just found the additional 1099R Documents.
We would like to gain Senior credit for Maryland for 2024. Please review again: 9130357953682586-66763351
