I've read several questions and answers about this but still don't understand. I have multiple payors of non-arizona municipal interest that turbo tax asks me to list on a schedule with only 5 lines. Would like to efile and not have to send in a paper return with attached home-made schedule. Can I just list the first five payors? list four payors and add all the rest up in fifth line with label "multiple states" or some such, or maybe just add them all up in first line with label "multiple states?" thanks, jim

Yes, you can combine multiple states of municipal interest together and use the selection "Multiple states". If your TurboTax version has a drop-down box for states, this should be the last selection on the list for you to choose from.

Last year Arizona Turbo Tax automatically created an Explanation Statement labeled: "Additional information from your 2018 Arizona Tax Return." Form 140:Resident Personal Return, Line B6 - Non-Arizona Municipal Interest Explanation Statement. That took care of the AZ requirement. This year the system is not creating the statement, thus taxpayers must enter each item manually. Additionally, I can't get through the tax review without the system indicating I have an error in my tax return!
Turbo Tax support: Please take a look at this.
You say that in 2018 TurboTax created a "Additional information from your 2018 Arizona Tax Return." Form 140:Resident Personal Return, Line B6 - Non-Arizona Municipal Interest Explanation Statement."
Did it list the Payor's and amounts? Where did this information come from if not from the schedule that I described above?
