Paying taxes to a City I don't live or work in.

I just found out that my employer has been taking taxes out for a city I no longer work in for the past few years. I've also never lived in that city. This has been corrected by my employer, but is it possible that that city now owes me a refund?

Probably.   You have not mentioned what city.   TurboTax can only help with returns for a few cities or localities.  For most of them you are on your own.   Gather up your W-2's that show the tax withheld for the city and find out how to file returns for those years to recover the tax that was withheld if you neither lived nor worked in that city.  Ask your employer for copies of the W-2's if you no longer have them.

Thanks! The city would be Akron Ohio, so I'll be diving into that further.

Q. Is it possible that that city now owes me a refund?

A. Yes, for each of the years this happened. There may be a 3 year limit, for claiming a refund.
