Hello,

How to e-file form IT-204-LL with Turbotax Business? I was able to pay the filing fee, but form is not included in NYS Partnership Tax Return. The confirmation email from TurboTax is for payment only. I am not sure if the form was filed as I did not get confirmation or printable version of the filed form.

The form instructions state to pull the figures from the 2021 tax year, not 2022. You will use the modified federal gross income from your Form 1065 to help fill out the return.

I got a message saying "This feature isn't ready yet, but we're working on it" and "Check back soon to see if the New York partnership filing fee is up and running.", but it seems as if this worked for you?

Is consensus here that eFile for IT-204-LL does not work? I entered 8 on 3/13/23 and have yet to see funds draw from the bank. Also have not received filing confirmation email or anything. I would rather not pay this fee twice as some entities were assessed +$500.

For those wondering: I have filed this form late several times and via paper. I have never once had NYS assess fees or penalty for late filing or not efiling. I believe NY is aware of that lack of efile support for this form, especially for those that file taxes themselves. This form should be available to efile on the NYS website, not through providers.

You may wish to print out paper Form IT-204-LL, Partnership, Limited Liability Company, and Limited Liability Partnership Filing Fee Payment Form (Instructions) and mail with payment.

Note that TurboTax Business is listed as an approved software to e-file Form IT-204-LL.

I "think" I just filed the IT 204-LL NYS form and paid the fee via Turbo tax. I received a notice at the end that said, "Done! You've e-filed your New York State partnership filing fee".

Can I be SURE that it filed the form and that the fee is paid?

I've seen other comments that people are printing the form and sending it via snail mail with payment.

On March 1st I used TurboTax to file form IT-204-LL and to pay filing fee. So far payment did not go through, and I haven't received confirmation email from TurboTax. This morning I called NYS Department of Taxation and they confirmed that form was not filed. Their suggestion was to mail the form with a check by March 15th. They confirmed that Turbotax Business is not approved software to file this form for 2022. You can see this on the NYS web site. Here is the link with list of approved software.

Was anyone able to file Form IT-204-LL in TurboTax for Business desktop version? I've seen response that the form was not available since January 2023.
