Need to change my last number on my bank account to get my money

If you have filed the 2021 tax return then the bank information cannot be changed.  The bank will reject the refund and return it to the IRS.  The IRS will mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.

Did you file yet?  You can only change the refund method or account number before you file.  If you already filed it is too late. To change your account number or how to get your refund or pay the fees go through the File tab again.

 If the bank rejects your deposit the IRS will mail a check to the address on your return.
