I signed up for alerts from TTAX as to when this issue will be fixed. About noon eastern time today 2/7/2022 they messaged me and said thanks for being patient we are working on a fix. No ETA provided.
I am also experiencing this error. I have called [phone number removed] and cannot be connected with a customer service rep.
I am also experiencing this Kentucky State Tax Error. Called customer service but was not connected to a real person. Would like to be notified when Turbo Tax has corrected this software issue. How do I go about signing up for an alert?

Still an issue today Monday February 7th. I even called and they wanted me to give them access to my screen. The callers SHOULD be fully aware of this issue and respond with they are working on a fix. I spent several hours today trying to find an issue with the return. I sure hope the payment made to process Ky still there upon the fix. Oh well been using turbo tax many years I sure hope they get it together. I reported the error again today.
It is not Turbo Tax Error. I have tried 'FreeTax USA'. I have tried 'TaxSlayer'. I have tried 'TaxAct'. They all give the same Error message. So when you call KRS & they tell you and they say it's a Turbo Tax Problem. Myself ''I do not think so.
Issue still not resolved. I saw another post where someone had spoken to agent at Turbotax & they told them they are working on the issue and should have it fixed by 2/10. I've been trying to file since last Monday and it's still not fixed. So, we shall see!!!
Customer with 1099 NEC stated there were issues with EIN or SSN. When re-entered the problem remained. Lead advised customer may have to delete the Form 1099-NEC and re-enter make sure to distinguish between EIN or SS of the issuer, no need to reenter EIN in KY side.
If it does not let customer efile, the cx should check with the issuer of the 1099-nec for the correct tax id number.
I think it may still be a glitch or the form is not ready to be efiled.
Still getting this error message when trying to file. Any updates on getting this glitch fixed?!
I have no idea when TurboTax will have this fixed. I’ve heard it’s a glitch in their system & should be fixed by 2/10. But, who knows!!

I don’t have a 1099 NEC. So that’s not my problem. I only have one 1099 from my employment to enter. I’m single with no children so no child credit to claim. Very easy return & it still shows up on Ky as needing a SS or EIN to claim child credit.
Same here, single, no dependents. They should have shut their tax system down, when they were first notified of problem. Instead of taking people's money and letting it escalate to this magnitude. They have been aware for days. Doesn't make ANY SENSE.
