Indiana underpayment penalty cannot edit

I incorrectly entered my periodic payments and now cannot get back to edit because system says I do not owe a penalty, but when I do the final review the penalty still shows up. How do I fix this?  I see someone had similar issue last year but it the reply does not seem to help.

Yes, you can make corrections to your state estimated payments. This is how to find that:

  1. Select Federal from the left side menu.
  2. Select Deductions and Credits
  3. Scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid.
  4. Expand the section, click Start or Revisit to the right of Estimated Tax Payments.
  5. Find State estimated taxes for 2022, click Start or Revisit to the right.
  6. Correct your dates and amounts here and click Continue.

Thanks for your response JulieS, but it's not the tax payments I need to update but the income received for the first 8 months of the year.  We received a lump sum distribution at year end which causes us to owe taxes but should mean we don't owe a penalty.  When I go into Other situations: Underpayment penalty, it shows a penalty amount. When I click on the revisit button to the right of this amount, I get a message stating I don't owe a penalty. But when I review my state taxes, the penalty amount shows up.

Originally, the system asked me to input income during different time periods for 2022 in order to calculate whether we owe this penalty or not.  I included some amounts which do not count as taxable income so need to revise.  I really appreciate your help.  Any updates are welcome.
