I do not completely understand "Enter the portion of the following...allocable to MN. Partial MN resident so am I inputting the $ only when I lived in MN or total amount?
I paid $x Alimony in 2021. I lived in TX 1st 9 months, now MN for the last 3 mo. of 2021. Is the amount I input relative to how much of a deduction I had while living in MN or is it based upon where the money was allocated? (to my ex living in MN). The answer has to be: 1) A portion of the total amount paid when I was living in MN, or 2) The total amount because it was all allocated to someone living in MN.

For the partial year allocation, the deduction applies to when you were a resident of the state.
