How do I download the .tax file from ny 2020 online return?

from my* 2020 online return. I currently only see the "download tax PDF" option using the online version to view 2020 documents

If you want to use the Desktop/CD version of TurboTax for 2021, try these steps to download a tax data file from your 2020 online return:

1. Sign In to TurboTax Online and scroll down to 'Your Tax Return Returns' 
2. Click on 2020
3. Choose 'Download .tax file'

Your online return is now saved in a format can be opened in the TurboTax software.

However, my screen looks somewhat different and when I select the 2020 documents, Download tax PDF is the only option. 🤔

If you are returning to TurboTax Online for the first time this season, you might not see Tax Home in the upper left-hand corner of the menu bar, yet. Please continue through a few screens of your 2021 information, so that Tax Home appears on the upper left.  The Documents you see there are copies of documents you have uploaded to TurboTax and it does not have other return information.
After you have Tax Home showing, please click there and scroll down to Your Tax Returns and Documents. They will contain the download .tax file link.
