How can I get the fee for my state return reversed? My state filing was rejected after I had processed the $24.99 charge. After adjustment , the new refund is less than $5.00 and it makes no sense to pay $24.99 to efile the state return.
If the state form pends the filing until the Federal is processed, it seems like the TurboTax charge for filing the state fee should pend for cases such as this

I did contact customer service.
The customer service reply was that once the order for the state return was processed, the order was complete and there are no refunds.
Both my federal and state were rejected after the order was completed. I corrected the federal error and the federal file was automatically resent.
The correction to the federal filing updated my state return amount which was less than $5.00.
I would not have efiled my state return if the return was such a small amount.
Shouldn't the fee for the state filing pend until after the return is accepted?
If the return is rejected, the taxpayer should have the option of cancelling the order for the state process, or pend the payment until the state forms were resubmitted and accepted.
The return was prepared, and the return was filed, thats what you paid for.
Turbotax cant guarantee the tax agency will accept it.
Cant you fix the reason for rejection and resubmit?
