The only Income I made in 2020 was from self employment through a 1099-NEC in which I made $1,625.79
I owe no money to Michigan and am receiving no money from michigan. I also was just going to file federal and state together on turbo tax but it's $50 (even though I owe and am receiving no money from michigan)
but I get this message whenever I try to file. It's really too much work to mail in, I was hoping to just do everything together. Any opinions on how to help with this?

No. You do not have to file a Michigan return if you are a MI resident. MI residents are required to file a MI return if they are required to file a federal return.
If you owe no federal tax, then you do not have to file a federal return. The IRS says, "You have to file an income tax return if your net earnings from self-employment were $400 or more." Net means after deductions.
You can delete MI from state and e-file federal.

I do have to file federal return though because I owe $200, sadly. So does that mean I have to file a MI return then?
Yes, you are required to file a Federal return and therefore are required to file a Michigan state return as well.
