Do I need to file if I'm getting s.s.disability minimum amount last year was 914$ mo. Isn't there some kind of renters rebate for people in this situation?

If disability only pays under 11,000 ayear do I get any kind of a refund from the rent I paid or in any other kind of way is there a refund for just filling.

If you only get Social Security or SSDI it is not taxable and you don't need to file a return unless you have ACA insurance through the Marketplace and get a 1095A form.

There is no federal refund "just for filing."   And if your only income was Social Security you are not required to file a tax return.   There is nothing for rent on a federal tax return, but some states have renter credits.  So, depending on your state  it "might" help you to file.

There is not a rent deduction or credit on your Federal return.  If your state has anything for renters you will be prompted to enter your rent info when you complete your state return.  As far as I know, the states that have anything for rent are Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington DC, and Wisconsin.

I think Montana also has something for low income/seniors who rent.
