Yes me too ! I didn’t have to change anything. Good luck to everyone 🙌🏼
After following @jme02100 's Federal return instructions, deleting and restarting my CA taxes, my CA return was finally accepted. e-Filed 12:09 PM, accepted at 1:56 PM.
They seem to have rolled out some sort of fix at this point because people’s state returns are now being accepted without making any changes. Best of luck everyone and hope it’s smooth sailing with your taxes from here. Worst case you can always try the zero out method should you still be getting rejected. Cheers!
It happened to you even when you didn’t make any donations???? Great. I tried to fix mine and make it zero….. we’ll see if this works.
I hope so because I did not delete my state yet just walked through it again and I am still in pending status several hours later. For those that do try the zero out process please delete the state and start it over. I guess I have to wait till it gets rejected for the 3rd time and then just try again. Odd that its reported it just started working when there has been no software update in the last 24 hours.
Well, hell. Guess I’m getting a smaller refund after zeroing things out. Lol.
@Peachwnk If that’s the case I’d wait for TurboTax to update their system. We’ve got a few reports of people getting accepted after changing nothing and also successful reports of people zero’ing out the charitable section. I honestly have no clue what’s going on just sharing my experience. I’m not a tax expert. Zeroing my charitable contributions didn’t effect my refund or what I owe so it made no difference to me.
Yes! Same thing happened to me. Resubmitted two other times but still the same rejection. What worked is today, I deleted the first CA return, and started over and filed again. That’s it. It worked! Try that all! Good luck!
@jamesmith2010 You didn't make any changes to your CA return, just delete, start over and refile? I may try that.
Nope, nothing! Just deleted the first one and started over. Accepted in a few hours later! Good luck!
I deleted and reinstalled and this time it was accepted.
Yep. I used turbotax and e-filed twice, rejected twice. I keep getting message from Turbotax saying it's all good. But I can't display my actual forms. HELP!!!
I think the update they pushed yesterday did fix it but in order to get the fix you really had to delete the state return and start over. My return using the zero out care act charitable contributions was just accepted by simply zero'ing it out and re-running the state review.
Third time lucky. Finally accepted without fixing anything. Appears that TT did indeed provide a fix for the problem sometime today. Thanks everyone for the advice.
