Same here!
Yes! After 3 rejections and feeling much like I was in high school when asking girls to the dance, finally figured it out. You will have to go through your state returns again, once you see the question about “Charitable Contributions” you must enter 0 and do not leave it blank once I did that they were finally accepted. Credit goes to another user in this vlog I learned from him
@Montydagreat Where is the "Charitable Contributions" question on the State. I've been looking not finding it. Thanks.
I didn't find charitable donations in my State return.
Oh lord. Me, too. I tried to decrease the amount of contributions in federal. I guess I’ll just mark them all zeros and try it again. I have had the state one rejected twice.
All my federal is 0, but still state gets rejected
For everyone asking where it is on the state return it’s NOT, you have to go back through your fed return and it’s the pop up question “how much did you contribute to charity” then you delete the old state return and hit start over so it brings the zero’ed out charitable contribution from your fed return then refile.
@sasa22 So when you download your return line 12b is $0 or blank?
it's $300
@jme02100 not sure how I did it but I did not change anything and I just got the email and text saying accepted.
@sasa22 @So it’s not $0ed out on your fed return. That should be $0 unless the $300 charitable contributions makes a big difference in what you owe are refunded. You can either $0 or out on your fed return delete and reimport your state return and refile or wait for TurboTax to make an update whenever that’ll be.
Thank you very much jme!!
@KalRod04 @Maybe TurboTax is actually working on fixing it proactively. I’m sure they’ve been watching this thread and the amount of unhappy paying customers lol, either way that’s great!
Yes I do. I have the same message and don’t know what to do about. TurboTax couldn’t help and ask to come back today!
Ok, i just got 'accepted' without doing any changes!! i guess Turbotax fixed something in the backend. Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and contributions. you are a great team!!
