Date on line 9a of IL Form 2210 should be 01/18/22 not 01/17/22 and there is NO WAY to override it. This results in incorrect late penalty for 1 day.
From the instructions for IL 2210:
Line 9a - For each quarter, enter the date that corresponds with the
15th day of the 4th, 6th, and 9th month of your tax year and the 15th
day of the first month following the end of your tax year. If this date
falls on a weekend or holiday, use the next business day.
01/15/22 was a weekend day, 01/17/22 was a holiday, 01/18/22 was the due date for the 4th quarter installment.

This would not result in a penalty as the 17th falls before the 18th. Now if Turbo Tax had the first quarter payment date as the 19th, then it would cause a penalty.
Your are absolutely wrong. If one reports the 4th quarter (not the first quarter) payment as made on 01/18/22 ( the correct date dictated by the federal and IL govt) but Turbo Tax says the due date 01/17/22 then you are one day late and the program calculates a penalty. If TurboTax had the due date as 01/19/22, that would be incorrect as well.
@AkinaLO When will this issue be corrected. It has been open since Jan 17, 2022. Holding up filing of taxes. Very disappointed in INTUIT at unwillingness to quickly fix a SOFTWARE BUG.
You are correct that 1/18/2022 is the due date for estimated 2021 taxes for Illinois.
"Turbo Tax says the due date 01/17/22" - can you tell me where it says this? Online? CD/download? Windows? Mac? In the state interview? Or in the federal interview where you enter estimated taxes paid for a state?
Actually, if you could give us a screenshot with any personally identifiable information redacted, that would be great.
@BillM223 Date of 01/17/2022 is prefilled on PAGE 1 of IL Form 2210 line 9a QUARTER 4. See attached highlighted in yellow and CANNOT BE OVERRIDDEN. This results in incorrect calculation of penalty on PAGE 2 for Qtr 4. I am using MAC download version of Turbo Tax Deluxe (see attached version info).
Thank you. This is excellent. Let me look into this.
@BillM223 Just downloaded most recent update of TurboTax which included an IL update. Still no fix for this issue. Can't believe it takes this long to change a hard coded date from 01/17 to 01/18/22. What gives?
@BillM223 The courtesy of a reply with status would be appreciated.
We submitted the issue to the development team some time ago. They confirmed the issue, but we have heard nothing about an update.
Word has come down that the fix for IL-2210 will be in Release 22, scheduled to be implemented this week (I don't know which day, but Thursday is typically the day in which bulk updates are made).
Yes it has finally been fixed in the Update made available today (01/18/22) :
