Property Tax Pay Date Warning

I am now doing my 2024 taxes through TurboTax. I got my car taxes for 2024 in the mail and paid them in early 2025. However, when I actually put in my car property taxes information in I am getting the warning "The Dates Paid Column must be in 2024".

I think I might just be a little confused on how that all works? Do I just ignore the warning or am I not understanding what I'm supposed to be putting where.

You can only claim the taxes you actually pay out-of-pocket in 2024 on your 2024 tax return.

The taxes you paid in early 2025 can be claimed on your 2025 tax return (next year).
