Part-year resident and mortgage interest paid on house from another state

I am filing part-year resident State Return with Virginia.  I have a rental home in Virginia that was rented all year.  That one is good.  I have a second home in Florida that I pay interest and property taxes on.

1) Can I claim any of the interest and taxes from the Florida home on my Virginia Taxes? (claimed on my federal return)

2) Also, as a part-year resident and if I am allowed to deduct interest and taxes from the Florida home, do I prorate the amounts based on when I became a Virginia resident or use the entire amount?

Thank you.

No. Whatever took place in VA belongs on a VA return. Your interest and property taxes from FL, while being acceptable on the Federal return, do not apply for VA at all.
