PA Taxable Income Error

I'm working on filing my PA state form. Per my W2 state taxable income is higher than federal. PA does not deduct 401k pre tax contributions from income. In previous years PA taxable income (box 16) has been higher than federal (box 1) as well.

However when I try to input box 16 into the state form, TT flags an error saying the state income cannot be higher than federal. I think it's a software error. I spoke with a TT live CPA and they suggested that maybe the 2021 PA forms haven't been updated yet in TT.

Anyone else experienced this? I'm sure I'm not the only one in PA where pa taxable wages are higher than federal.

Thanks!

PA Taxable Income Error

PA is still releasing tax forms so that could be the issue. Some forms say unsupported and that can mean they don't have a release date, sometimes it means, unsupported.

The state and federal governments approve the most common forms first and work their way down the list. Please see the links for form availability. Once a date shows up, the reality should be close. Once released, Turbo Tax will work quickly to get it working in the program.

@AmyC

There have been several PA folks in the past week that have reported this same problem.
