Only 25 cents SC state tax withheld - do I really need to file for this?

Hello,

My son was a college student in SC for the first half of 2022.  He made about $1000 total from 2 different employers and some reason had 25 cents withheld by one employer (none by the other employer).  He then moved to NC to begin his real job on July 1.  

He clearly will not owe any state tax in SC, but their website says you need to file if any state income tax was withheld.  Does we really need to file for 25 cents of withholding???

No. Since amounts reported on tax software rounds amounts the twenty five cents would round to zero.
