Florida does not have a state income tax.   Only people who have Florida businesses or rental property with tangible personal property have to file a DR-405 with the county property appraiser by April 1 each year.

If you don't have a Florida business or rental property with such tangible personal property, then you do not have to file a Florida return.  You can choose to skip the Florida return, or delete the Florida return before paying and filing if it's not needed.

If you've already paid for it and don't need it as explained above, you can talk to TurboTax Customer Support and tell them you didn't need it.

If you didn't pay for a Florida return, then just don't send the DR-405 to the county property appraiser.

If you have already registered in Free Edition, you won't be able to delete the state return.  You can try using the link I posted above, but it will probably tell you that  you can't.

What edition did you use?   In Free Edition, which is what is shown by your user name by your question above, there is no fee for a Federal return or a State return.   Did you have any product fees?   Did you use a higher edition than Free Edition?

The Florida return cannot be efiled.  It is a DR-405 form that only people who have businesses or rental property with tangible personal property file with the county property appraiser.

You said in your question that it asked you to mail it.  That means it has not been efiled.  Just don't mail it to the country property appraiser if you don't need it.

If you paid for it, I told you above how to speak to  TurboTax by phone.

You're welcome.  I can see if one of the helpers from Florida has anything else to add to this thread.   If you end up being charged for it, you can contact TurboTax Support at that time and ask for a resolution.  But if you used Free Edition, there should be no fee for a state return.

@tagteam   If you have a chance, when you are next in the forum, can you please review this thread about a "Florida return."    Thanks!
