New york state saying they dont have my state tax returns ??? I e-filed them January 28th my federal taxes have been accepted whats going on ??

Both state and federal say filed only federal says accepted state still says pending.  Ny state is saying they dont have it but that it takes up to a week to be accepted. ???

Correct...right at the very start of the tax season, their computers cant process the gazillion files waiting all at once, and things just started in earnest on Friday...So it can take some extra time to get to yours....but if they find some computer glitches with the early ones, they might shut down for a few days to fix the problems.  You don't really want to be one of the earliest ones processed.
