how do I add the exemption

To get the "Military Veteran Exemption" Update the "General Info" section in the NJ state interview. You will arrive at a page titled, "Other situations that may apply to you." There you should select "Military Veteran" and on the following page select the taxpayer and/or spouse to whom the exemption applies.
