I cannot get in touch with a real human to report this bug, so hopefully someone can help me here.
I worked for two companies last year. One in the state I reside (VA) and one where I currently work (NC). When I am doing my NC wage allocation page, it lists my W2 for my out of state income twice:
Current job W2 ---- $amountA ----- NR NC Source Income
Current job W2 ---- $amountA ----- NR NC Source Income
Prev Job W2 ---- $amountB ----- Not NC Source Income
On the next page, it gives me an income from Current Job W2 equal to $amountA+$amountA
I have read a post on here with someone with a similar problem, but the solution was to "delete" the doubled income and there's no way to remove it from the wage allocation screen.
For the past 3 years Turbotax has been nothing but one MASSIVE headache. It used to be so simple! Now you can't even talk to technical support when there's a bug.

Difficult to say from here since we don't see the return.
Yes, you should do the non-resident North Carolina return first, allocating on the North Carolina income from the current job W-2. (Amount A)
Next you'll do your resident Virginia return. VA will claim all your income, (Amount A + Amount B) but will also give you a credit for the tax paid to NC on the NC portion (Amount A) of income.
If the W-2 was uploaded, I suggest they be deleted and entered manually, (First try to just edit Box 15, 16 and 17 of the current W-2 to see if that takes care of things)
(I have not seen questions with your particular concern, but uploading documents often causes issues)

Yes, I am doing NC first. And yes, I did check my W2 line by line.
I think the doubled W2 on this wage allocation page was selected to something different when it first populated, but I don't know what it was. Since the income was only physically earned IN NC even though I do not live there, I changed it to NR NC Income. This is what is logical to me and there are no tooltips or guides for this page at all.
The options are 1) blank 2) NC Resident Income 3) NR NC Source Income 4) PY NC Source Income and 5) Not NC Source Income
Did changing the option to Non-Resident North Carolina Income solve the doubling of the income?
I can't think of a situation where the software asks about doubling income unless there was an instance of a married couple wanting to file separately for North Carolina, but that is just me making a wild guess.
If you are using TurboTax Online, it may be helpful to look at forms when something seems strange.
