Hi,
I live in Washington DC, but I have a rental property in Maryland. Most years it has generated a loss, but the last two years it generated a small profit. I file my taxes with TurboTax (federal and state) and TurboTax did not file a Maryland non-resident tax return. I read that I am supposed to be filing a Maryland non-resident tax return. Why is TurboTax not filing it? Is it based on the amount of the profit? Am I supposed to be filing an MD non-resident return for years where I had losses as well?

TurboTax can't file a state tax return on its own. It depends on accurate input from you to determine what to do. When TurboTax asked whether you made money in any other state, did you answer Yes and select Maryland as the other state? And when you got to the State section, did you do the Maryland tax return?
