Marking my state taxes as filed (by mail)

I e-filed my 2024 federal return and mailed my state taxes. Turbotax does not seem to recognize that I filed my state taxes another way: I'm getting reminders to "complete" my taxes, as well as calls from 3rd parties to deal with my (non-existent) tax debt.

How can I mark my state taxes as "filed by mail" in Turbotax Deluxe 2024? An answer to a similar question from 2023 said to choose "I'll file by mail" on the first page of the File section, but that doesn't seem to be an option for me. (Perhaps I mismarked something back in March, when I did my taxes; if so, I don't seem to be able to undo it now.)

I also looked at the first page of the State segment within the File section; my only choices there seem to be "e-file my state return now and "do not e-file my state return now, I'll do it later." (I imagine the latter is what I chose back in March, if these were my only choices.)

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you mailed your state return to the state I wouldn’t worry about it.  Turbo Tax doesn’t mail it for you.    Did you have a tax due?  How did you pay it?

Your only proof of payment is your bank statement or credit card showing the payment coming out.  Turbo Tax only passes your bank account number to the IRS or state for them to take it out of your account.  (Most states do not let you pay by Direct Debit so you have to mail in a check or go directly to the state's website to pay).  And some banks use different routing numbers for deposits and payments.  Double check the number you entered with your bank.

I did have tax due and paid it directly from my checking account, using my state's department of revenue website. (They make it quick and easy and free.)

My state knows I paid; I am just hoping there is a way to stop the annoyance of calls and emails from other parties who think I have not.

Your TT account might be generating reminders to file the state; the software has no way to know that you mailed in the state return.  Ignore the emails from TurboTax.    TurboTax never knows how, when or even if you paid your federal or state tax due.   Your proof that you paid is your own bank or credit card record.    TurboTax would not be calling you---so no idea who is calling you.    Do not give any information to anyone who calls you and claims to be calling from the IRS or your state.
